Fishing Day on the Freedom Farm

We had another great day the Freedom Farm -the kids learned all about fishing, how to make the knots, how to tie on the hook, sinker, bait etc. They even caught a fish (a flathead fish)-the kids took the guts out, we studied some fish anatomy in the process, Johanna fried up the fillets, and then we all had a delicious piece of fish!

Rindert op bezoek

My cousin Rindert (who is Dutch but lives in Sweden) is visiting us this and next week, here are a few pictures. I did not have time to take more but he will be back! We did take him to the beach for Nippers and then to the Reptile Park on Sunday which was fun!

Blue Mountains

We went to the Blue Mountains with our friends Rebecca and George and their kids Carl and Caroline for the day a few weeks ago. We had a great time with them but did not go hiking very much because it was very hot!

Boat Day on the Freedom Farm

we had a fun day of 'home'schooling! - We went to Johanna's 'Freedom Farm' where she had organized a boat day -the kids built boats, tried them out in the river, did a boat race, went canoeing, kayaking, played, swam, had lunch, we had a great day!
