We had friends over and decided to make the boys early birthday cakes! Arwin made his own!

Hike in Springwood National Park

Brisbane

we stayed in Brisbane for 3 weeks for Steve's work and had a great time. We met lots of wonderful people and did some exploring in and around the city. Here are some pictures of a city walk we took which ended at the Maritime Museum.

Coffs Harbour

On the way to Brisbane we stayed overnight in Coffs Harbour where we met up with our (South-African) friends Maria, Johannes and their 4 boys. We went to the beach first with Lyra and after that went for a walk to Muttonbird Island, then for a walk to the end of the pier where the kids could jump off and swim back to the beach. We saw lots of turtles and stingrays. What a beautiful place!

 On the way from Coffs Harbour we stopped somewhere because one of the kids needed to pee and we saw this huge colony of fruit bats! (flying foxes).

Byron Bay Lighthouse-where we could not get out of the car because we had Lyra with us. We had lunch in a cafe downtown instead.
